Extracurricular Endeavours: Tackling 100km Off Road for Their School Community

Beyond our day to day work with clients, our team members are often involved in personal projects and community initiatives that inspire us all.

This weekend, one of our team members James and his 10 year old son Jack, will take on an extraordinary challenge: cycling 100km along Britain’s historic Ridgeway, one of the country’s oldest roads. The route will take them over two days from Lewknor in Oxfordshire to the ancient stone circle at Avebury in Wiltshire, with an overnight camp along the way.

Joining them are the son’s friend Austin, also aged 10, and his father. While the dads will be there for support, this challenge is very much about two young riders who have chosen to push themselves outside their comfort zones, test their resilience, and work towards a goal together.

The boys are undertaking the ride in support of their school PTA, helping to raise funds that will benefit their fellow pupils and wider school community. Just as importantly, it is an opportunity for them to experience the value of commitment, perseverance, and giving something back.

Its not to be taken lightly, unfortunately during a training morning, one of their friends who was going to take part, fell and broke their arm, they are ok, just no riding for now.

We wish them every success on what promises to be a memorable adventure and look forward to hearing how they get on.
